How do I save changes to a PDF file, not "save as", in Fill Form Online reader DC?

Generally it should just allow you to save the file unless you have the same PDF file opened up in another software or you may have double clicked and opened up the PDF file from say that came as an email attachment? If that’s the case you need to Save As (since the attachment has not been saved to disk).

PDF documents can be cumbersome to edit, especially when you need to change the text or sign a form. However, working with PDFs is made beyond-easy and highly productive with the right tool.

  1. Add the document you want to edit — choose any convenient way to do so.
  2. Type, replace, or delete text anywhere in your PDF.

Fill out PDF: All You Need to Know

The problem with the Save As feature is it will not let you preview what you're saving. The same is true if you Save As the same PDF from Safari, Gmail or whatever, it will not allow you to view Preview the PDF file. In other words if you save a PDF from Safari or Gmail into a Windows application it will not allow you to view the PDF file, and you will be left with unopened attachment emails, or you may need to go back into your email application and go to View→Save View. I hope this article helped anyone else trying to open PDFs by either saving them as a Mac application, saving them as a Windows application or using a third party application such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.
